The RANGER® series is the most innovative form of multi-purpose shelter available today.
Having been developed from an in depth worldwide assessment of current and future military tentage requirements, its design is both advanced and simple - setting the pace for present and future military shelters.
The RANGER® Series is available in three formats, series I, II and III. Each unit is the same width and height, though varies in length. This is specifically in response to requirements for RANGER® and its rapid deployment system, where a range of floor areas are required. The substantial size when deployed makes RANGER® the perfect solution when shelter is required in a hurry for logistic storage, field hospitals, regimental aid posts, field kitchens, troop accommodation or command posts.
The shelter can be used for drive through workshops/vehicle servicing bays and can be used in conjunction with a number of in-service UK vehicles e.g. Warrior, Land Rover and FV432 series.
It is easy to erect and strike - unlike any other shelter of its
kind, the RANGER®
Series can be erected in under 5 minutes.
The heaviest of the three options is RANGER® Series III which comes fully assembled and weighs only 115kg in a compact carrying bag, giving ease of storage and transportation.
The double curvature design makes RANGER® extremely wind resistant and provides a snag free surface to camouflage.
Its unique trusses consist of composite materials and are carefully engineered to be light weight, flexible and extremely robust. The deployment in the field, with a low silhouette and no corners, ensures good tactical sighting is possible for the shelter.
Insulation is achieved by the addition of a flame-retardant lining, which ensures complete blackout. A robust PVC ground sheet with upstands, as well as various window arrangements completes its integrity. This ensures that a comfortable accommodation environment can be achieved and maintained.
The shelter is easily partitioned with internal curtains if required. For example the flexibility of the shelter’s partitions allows briefings to be carried out without disrupting the routine of the remainder of the Command Post.
While the minimal use of metal parts makes RANGER® transparent to radar. The outer weatherproof and breathable fabric is hardwearing, rot-resistant, rip-resistant, non shrink, fire-retardant and Infra-Red reflectant.
