Lifting Slings

Flat: The British Millerain Group produces a wide range of webbing products for defence and civilian use. Webbing arrangements come in a range of materials and specifications in order to meet the demands of their intended use. JTI Defence prides itself on being adaptable and can aim to supply to customers’ required design or to a particular combination required.

Slings are available in three forms, Simplex, Duplex and Endless, to combine into many variations, including basket slings, becketted, four legged, choking etc. All slings can be supplied with wear sleeves and reinforced eyes for protecting the slings. All slings are individually numbered for traceability and safety and are manufactured to BS 3481 part 2 and BS EN 1492-1.

Round Slings: In addition to flat webbing slings we supply various round slings, which are particularly useful for lifting loads of a fragile nature which may be damaged by the harder webbing. Round slings, as with flat webbing slings, are colour coded for ease of identification and are available in a complete range of sizes and strengths. Manufactured to BS 6668 Part no 2 and BS EN 1492-2 from 100% polyester.

Load restraint systems

We supply a large and varied range of load restraint and load securing equipment, from lightweight 25mm cambuckle systems to 10 tonne systems, for securing heavy industrial items. All systems are manufactured to the latest European Standards: BS5759 and BS EN 12195-2.

Mostly commonly supplied are 25mm, 35mm and 50mm systems, although 75mm systems are also used for heavyweight applications such as, in the Ministry of Defence, for transportation of heavy plant vehicles.

Our strap assemblies include a full range of applications for use in Naval, Air & Army Operations. Specialist items have been custom made to suit individual requirements, such as helicopter restraints, gunner stores and sweep decks.
